The Restaurant

The Bridge Hotel’s restaurant, The Quiet piggy is dedicated to local Scottish produce that includes fish, seafood and game and offers all the noble produce that Scotland, known for centuries as the "Larder of Europe", has become famous for. Fresh from the river, the hill and the sea; salmon, trout, deer, hare, grouse, woodcock, snipe, duck, lobster, oysters, mussels and scallops enhance our menus according to the season. In the very place where they are harvested, they are served freshly prepared along the lines of classical, international cuisine.

The hotel sports two aquariums, built into the wall and visible to guests, with professional life support equipment and chilling units, where oysters, lobsters, langoustines  and crabs, fresh from the Helmsdale Harbour, are kept all year round. This ensures that the connoisseur is only served the best, locally available seafood. In the same spirit, game and wild fowl is obtained directly from the large sporting estates of the area and cooked to perfection by the chef.
