The Resident's Lounge

The Resident's Lounge is the pride of the Bridge Hotel. It has a spectacular traditional ambience with eleven full head mounts of local stags adorning its walls. Above the fireplace, a moose and two reindeer bear witness to the fact that these animals once roamed the Highlands, as well as the giant elk whose antlers are from the National Museum of Ireland, since the animal died out some Six thousand year ago.

Roe, Sika and Fallow deer mounts complete the collection of wild ungulates found in Scotland today. Superbly comfortable, it invites guests to have a last liqueur or malt whisky from the honesty bar after dinner in front of the fireplace. The Resident’s Lounge also has a wide screen TV with a DVD and VHS player, as well as a varied collection of books and magazines.

The Lounge Bar

The Lounge Bar has a quiet, warm and friendly atmosphere to enjoy an aperitif with an 'amuse bouche' of Scotland's best such as oysters, langoustines, smoked salmon, home made game pates or wild fowl terrines. The Bridge Hotel Lounge Bar welcomes non resident-guests.

Lobby Lounge

Situated next to the magnificent original Scotch pine staircase and perfectly located between the lounge bar, the restaurant and the main entrance of the hotel, our Lobby Lounge with yet another open fireplace, provides guests with an ideal alternative for relaxation and an aperitif before heading to the restaurant, or a cosy and quiet place to have a dram after dinner. The cast copy of the largest salmon caught on the Helmsdale River in the last twenty years proudly rests above the mantelpiece.

Smoker's Garden

Highland storm winds permitting, we’re trying to maintain a marquee in the hotel’s large back garden all year round to allow our smoking guests to enjoy refreshments in a ‘smoker friendly’ sheltered environment.
